Itineraries
Day 1
Date : June 19, 2026
Chitrakote, Hidden Shivlings & Forgotten Falls

The drive from Jagdalpur opens onto Chitrakote — India's broadest waterfall, where the Indravati spills in a great horseshoe and the spray finds you on the lower bank. Step down to the river's edge to seek the shivlings half-hidden in the rock, then take a boat to the foot of the falls and let the current carry the sound. Onward to Narayanpal Temple, by local reckoning a thousand years old, and a Dev Gudi where village deities are honoured. As light softens, chase two lesser-known cascades — Tamda Ghumar and Mendri Ghumar — before the sky turns.
Overnight at Dandami Luxury Resort, Chitrakote (or similar)
Day 2
Date : June 20, 2026
Dholkal Heights, Barsoor & Shakti Peeth
Set off early for the climb to Dholkal, where a ridge-top trail rewards you with a panorama over the surrounding ranges. The scenic valley road then leads to Barsoor, an archaeological treasure where stone tells the longer story — the Battisha and Mama Bhanja temples, and the twin Ganesha shrine whose colossal sandstone idols are among the largest anywhere. Trace the Saathdhara stream and the silent memory pillars and megaliths at Gamawada. The day closes at Danteshwari Temple in Dantewada — a revered Shakti Peeth, and the deity who lent her name to a dynasty.
Overnight at Ham Residency, Jagdalpur (or similar)
Day 3
Date : June 21, 2026
Kanger Valley, Mandarkonta & Bamboo on the Water
Today belongs to Kanger Valley National Park. Tirathgarh arrives first — water dropping in tiers from roughly three hundred feet, splitting around rock into a dozen smaller threads. Then descend into the Mandarkonta caves, where stalactites and stalagmites have been forming in the dark for longer than memory holds, lamplight catching their slow geometry. End at Dhudmaras village, where bamboo rafts wait on still water — push off with a paddle and let the forest close in around you. You leave Bastar with river on your skin and stone in your memory.
