At Unexplored Bastar, we understand that travel plans can change. However, many of our services involve coordination with local partners and rural communities, which require advance planning and commitment. The following policy outlines our cancellation and refund terms:


1. Cancellation by Traveler

In the event of cancellation of tour/travel services due to any avoidable or unavoidable reason(s), we must be notified in writing at the earliest.
Cancellation charges will be effective from the date we receive your written communication, and will be applied as follows:

  • 60 days or more before the booking date:
    10% cancellation fee
  • 30 to 59 days before the booking date:
    20% cancellation fee
  • 15 to 29 days before the booking date:
    30% cancellation fee
  • 7 to 14 days before the booking date:
    50% cancellation fee
  • Less than 7 days before the booking date:
    100% cancellation fee (No refund)

Note: The cancellation percentage is based on the total tour cost, not just the advance paid.


2. Cancellation by Unexplored Bastar

We reserve the right to cancel any trip in case of:

  • Natural calamities, unsafe conditions, or political unrest
  • Minimum participant threshold not met (in the case of group tours)
  • Any unforeseen logistical issue beyond our control

In such cases, you will be offered:

  • A full refund, or
  • An option to reschedule or shift your booking to a similar tour/service

3. Refund Process

  • Refunds are issued through the original payment method used at the time of booking.
  • Processing may take 7–10 business days.
  • Any bank charges, transfer fees, or payment gateway charges are non-refundable.

4. Rescheduling / Modifications

  • Date changes are permitted once, if requested at least 15 days prior to the original travel date.
  • Any rescheduling request made within 15 days of the trip will be treated as a cancellation.

5. Non-Refundable Circumstances

Refunds will not be granted in the following scenarios:

  • Late arrivals or no-shows
  • Early departure from the tour
  • Missed services due to personal reasons
  • Breach of our travel code of conduct or safety instructions
