Itineraries

Day 1

Date : July 17, 2026

Bastar Monsoon Waterfalls & Madarkonta Caves

Leave Jagdalpur behind as the Bastar monsoon reveals itself in full force. Mandwa waterfalls greet you first — a cascade barely visible outside the rains — before the three-tier drop of Tirathgarh waterfalls, where mist rises before the falls come into view. By afternoon, step into Madarkonta Caves inside Kanger Valley National Park, the only cave here open through every season, its stalactites and stalagmites formed over centuries in complete darkness. A full-day Hindi-speaking guide and a home-style vegetarian lunch accompany you throughout.

Overnight at Ham Residency (or similar), Jagdalpur

Day 2

Date : July 18, 2026

Dholkal Trek & Danteshwari Temple, Dantewada

Trade waterfalls for altitude on the Dholkal trek, climbing through monsoon-drenched forest toward a hilltop panorama that stretches across Bastar. Descend into Dantewada to stand before the Danteshwari temple, whose history and rituals connect directly to the origins of the famed Bastar Dussehra festival. End the day at Satdhara waterfalls, where the river stream catches the last colour of a monsoon sunset. A full-day guide, Dholkal trekking permit and vegetarian lunch are included throughout.

Overnight at Ham Residency (or similar), Jagdalpur

Day 3

Date : July 19, 2026

Chitrakote's Monsoon Cascades & Narayanpal Temple

The final day belongs to Chitrakote and its wilder monsoon cousins. Hike down to the lower river bank of Chitrakote to meet the Indravati river up close, then trek through dense forest to Mendri Ghumar, a cliff-type waterfall that flows only in the rains, followed by the plunge waters and rocky terrain of Tamda Ghumar. Pause at the thousand-year-old Narayanpal Temple, built by the Nagvanshi dynasty, before the Ratenga trail leads you through more seasonal streams to Bijakasha waterfalls, for a natural shower underfoot.
