Training of Community at Nambi

How Nambi Waterfalls Went from Hidden Gem to Thriving Community Tourism Hub

For generations, the thunderous roar of Nambi Waterfalls echoed only for the people of Nambi village. Hidden in the remote forests of Bijapur district, this majestic 700-foot cascade was unknown to the outside world. That is, until the local community, Unexplored Bastar, and the District Administration decided it was time to share its beauty with the world.

The Beginning:

Two months ago, Nambi Waterfalls was little more than a name on the lips of locals. Access was challenging, and no tourism infrastructure existed. But its potential was undeniable. Supported by the Manva Bijapur tourism campaign, Unexplored Bastar began work to open the site to visitors—without compromising its raw beauty.

Training & Empowerment:

A group of 25 young villagers underwent intensive training in hospitality, tour guiding, and community tourism management. The goal was clear: tourism here should benefit the local people and preserve the culture and environment.
