Dhurwa belongs to the tribe name who have built it and Dera meaning the setup where one has planned to live, together it makes up for Dhurwa Dera which gives a magnificent identity to the homestay. From the world famous Chapda chutney to farm fresh vegetables cooked for you gives you an immense touch of the heritage that makes it so enriching.

The Village of Dhudmaras which could barely be navigated in the maps now have received a global recognition  and is known to the whole world after being recognised by the UN world upgrad programme where UN World will mentor and supervise selected villages for the upcoming financial year. Simply the UN is taking charge of all those listed villages under the best villages to be seen. Couple of months back in September on World Tourism Day ’24, Dhudmaras was also awarded as the Best Rural Tourism Village under the Adventure category along with one Chitrakote Village In the Bastar District of Chhattisgarh. Since then the water sport activities have seen a rise in the traffic tourists being witnessed here. 

Alongside this the village also commits towards working with a motive of promoting Eco Tourism and how self sustainable a community could become if hands held together. 

Dhudmaras is getting the recognition for all things that it could be doing.

 Not to forget that along with Dhudmaras, Chitrakote village too got its recognition for best Rural Tourism Village under the Community Based Tourism Category. Chitrakote also has a strong background of attracting tourists due to its scenic location of Chitrakote Waterfalls nearby.
