Mandwa Waterfall (Dodrepal waterfall)

Situated 31 kms away from Jagdalpur, on Jagdalpur Geedam NH-16, there is a village named Mawlibhata. Advancing 5 kms southwards, Mandwa waterfalls is near the village Dodrepal. One way to the waterfall is 7 kms away from Raikot. But vehicles have to be left behind 3 kms away from the falls whereas 2 kms before Mawlibhata, after a railway crossing leftwards, one can reach upto 1 km away from the falls.
In regional language, a runnel is called ‘Bahaar’ ; therefore this runnel is referred to as ‘Mungabahaar’ by local people. Mungabahaar is full of water, the whole year, but its flow decreases in summers. On Mungabahaar runnel, water cascades down the cliffs from 70 ft approx hierarchically and forms a wonderful waterfall. The width of these cliffs at some places is almost 200-300 ft. A shivalinga and stone idols of Nandi are established nearby on a plain area. Forging ahead Mungabahaar runnel combines with river Kanger, which forms Tirathgarh waterfall.
